Jennifer, Keith and family report that all has been well during their first few days in Ghana. They kindly sent along a few photos of their trip so far.
The crew at Solterre Design was joined by our counterparts at WHW Architecture this past Thursday for a no-holds-barred table tennis tournament, albeit, on a not-so-official table.
Congratulations to Tina Smith of WHW for ranking first, defeating Solterre Design's Keith Robertson in a vicious best of three final. Great food and a few laughs were shared by all. In the mean time, both crews are preparing for the next tournament to be hosted by WHW
"On behalf of the Canada Green Building Council, we want to congratulate you on achieving LEED Canada certification. Your project's final LEED Canada rating corresponds to the Platinum certification level in the LEED Canada for Homes Rating System."
Congratulations to the many people who worked so very hard to make this happen! This off-grid, passive house candidate, and now LEED Platinum certified project exemplifies a multitude of construction methods and materials that can be used to construct an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly home of exceptional quality and beauty.
The Concept House will serve as both a showpiece and inspiration for future projects, demonstrating 20 years of green design experience coupled with environmentally-sensitive architecture and building products.
Great job everyone!
We are pleased to announce that both the Yarmouth and Lunenburg County Justice Centres on Nova Scotia's South Shore have been accredited as LEED Certified buildings.
The Bridgewater Justice Centre was designed by Lydon Lynch Architects Ltd. of Halifax, NS and was also constructed by PCL Ltd.
With guidance from Solterre Design, both projects achieved LEED "Certified" on the same day. Congratulations to both design teams on a job well done!
