The built in shelving which separates the living and kitchen spaces mimics the open riser stair.
Simple and elegant the new stair is a big change from the old closed in staircase.
 The main goal of the kitchen was to be functional and open to the living spaces so that the cooks didn’t feel isolated. Of course it turned out so nicely that everyone wants to hang out in the kitchen anyway.
The island was designed so that two could cook and access the sink. It also provides a nice place so sit and watch.
The spacious studio has lots of light from three directions and room for two creative minds.
