Born and raised in Purcell's Cove, Nova Scotia, Tyler attended Dalhousie University where he completed a BSc in Biology and Economics and developed interests in ecology and sustainability which led to volunteering with the Ecology Action Centre. Tyler has worked with Clean NS in the environmental non-profit sector focusing on building and vehicle energy-efficiency and spent time in Ontario studying natural building methods which, coupled with a variety of construction industry experience, landed Tyler at Solterre Design working on LEED building certifications and in-house construction projects. Tyler has always been an avid camper and outdoorsman. After various international journeys he bicycled across Canada living in BC and Ontario before deciding to settle back in Nova Scotia.
