Ian was raised in St. Margaret's Bay where he developed an appreciation for the ocean and the outdoors. A graduate of the Construction Administration Program from the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) he spent three years in Alberta gaining experience with development protocols, compliance documentation, construction schedule analysis, financing / underwriting provisions, estimating, and progress reviews in the field. However, the ocean's call was too strong and Ian decided to return to Nova Scotia in 2009 to complete the Architectural Engineering Technician Program and find a home with Solterre Design. Ian believes in developing a sustainable society and enjoys using his skills to contribute to the advancement and promotion of LEED certified buildings.
