Northrop Frye School

Solterre Design acted as the LEED® consultant for the Northrop Frye School, a 9,940 m2 facility comprised of two floors of classrooms, administration offices, media centre, cafetorium and two gyms. Solterre collaborated with the design team to maximize daylight throughout the school.  The shell consists of a combination of pre-cast panel, brick and metal cladding with a polyiso-insulated roof. The building first opened its doors to 650 K-8 students in January of 2011. The project was certified LEED® Gold in 2012.
