Citadel High School
Solterre Design acted as the LEED consultant for Citadel High School, a 16,700 m2 secondary school for 1,400 students and 80 staff. The building replaces two aging high schools on the Halifax Penninsula. This 17 million dollar project opened in September of 2007. Comprised of a structural steel frame and a combination of glazed curtain walls, metal panelling and masonry envelope. A feature curved, west facing wall provides ample views for a multitude of classrooms and laboratories.
